SURVEY FOR PAEDIATRICIANS:
The identification, monitoring and/or management of newborns and infants at risk for hearing impairment through the lens of paediatricians

Dear Paediatrician My name is Ansa Jamal and I am an undergraduate student in B.A Audiology at the University of Witwatersrand. As part of my studies, I am required to conduct a research project. The title of my research is “The identification, monitoring and/or management of newborns and infants at risk for hearing impairment through the lens of paediatricians”. The purpose of this research study is to identify the role and reported practices of paediatricians in the early identification of hearing impairment in the high-risk newborn and infant population. This study has been granted ethical clearance by the Human Research Committee (medical) of the University of the Witwatersrand. If you are a practising paediatrician who has had experience working with the newborn and infant population, I would like to invite you to participate in answering an online survey. The survey comprises of 24 questions and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

By clicking on the link below, you are providing consent for participation in the study.

I know that your time is precious but your feedback is valued and needed and hope you will make the time to take this survey.

Sincerely,
Ansa Jamal
