2019 MDCM Products
The 2019 SAMA Medical Doctors’ Coding Manual (MDCM) products, the MDCM Book and the eMDCM will be available from mid-December 2018.
2019 MDCM Book
The 2019 MDCM Book orders can be placed on our SAMA website from the 1 December 2018, however delivery will only take place from mid-December 2018.
The 2019 version is vastly improved from the previous versions in that it incorporates:
o All code related interpretations come with the code for easier and quicker reference.
o The comprehensive coding structure for medical doctors with updated information up to and including 2019.
o Separate sections for the Road Accident Fund and the Compensation Fund.
o Reflecting the current scope of practice of medical doctors.

When opting to collect the books from one of our offices below, there will be no delivery fee charged.
2019 eMDCM (electronic version) – Available from 1 January 2019
The first licence of the 2019 eMDCM is FREE to SAMA members in private practice (including limited private practice). As a SAMA member you must please log on using your username and password to qualify for this FREE Licence. Only the first licence is free, additional licences will be charged.

The 2019 updated programme includes:
• All the 2019 procedural codes for medical doctors
• Easy to use search functionality
• Functionality available within the browser to calculate own fee for each code
• Interpretations and or comments attached to some codes
