The Foundation for Professional Development Survey

The Foundation for Professional Development (Pty) Ltd (FPD), in which SAMA has a 90% shareholding, must annually be accredited for BBBEE compliance by an independent external party in terms of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Amendment Act of 2013.

Amongst others, this entails that a verification of SAMA membership particulars must take place, with reference to age, gender and race - to be conducted by way of an online survey as well as on a sample basis through telephonic verifications.

The external party, Nexia SAB&T, has been appointed by FPD to facilitate the accreditation process.

Where telephonic verifications are necessitated, we would sincerely appreciate your co-operation with the employees of Nexia SAB&T.

Noting that SAMA membership is voluntary and that SAMA respects the confidentiality of the personal particulars of its members stored on its database in terms of the membership application contracts entered into with each member, please be advised that no identifying information will be stored or disseminated by Nexia SAB&T except for the anonymous aggregated results contained in their report to mPower Rating a BBBEE verification agency.

Confidentiality is further ensured by the electronic survey format.

Although your participation will be highly valued for the reasons set out above and the enhanced accuracy of the SAMA database, your participation in both the online verification process and telephonic verification where applicable remains voluntary and you are free to decline from participation.
